Thursday - Sept. 25
Tillicum Village Excursion

After arriving at the Fisherman's Wharf , we will board the Argosy Cruiser for the start of an enlightening evening. Only 8 miles across the Puget Sound we will find ourselves at Tillicum Village on Blake Island.
As we cruise we may spot some indigenous wildlife such as Dahl's porpoises, Stellar sea lions, associated marine birds and possibly a pod of Orca (killer whales). What an incentive to keep one's balance while watching over the boats rails! This picturesque island is teeming with natural beauty and wildlife. Constructed in conjunction with the 1962 World's Fair, the long-house takes you back to the times of rustic living and natural beauty.

Upon departing the Argosy, you will enjoy succulent appetizers of baked clams and clam nectar right on the beach. You can savor the view as well as the local flavors in these Northwest favorites. We will then adjourn to the long-house where we will be greeted by the delicious aroma of fresh Northwest salmon slowly cooking over an alder fire on cedar stakes.
This ancient cooking method has been used by the native tribes of the area for generations. While we enjoy the sumptuous meal we will be entertained and educated with traditional native folklore, as as they convey their story with bright costumes, music, dance and narrative.

After dinner everyone will have the opportunity to walk about the island and view the majestic beauty and hopefully some of the local wildlife. We will then depart for the mainland aboard the Argosy as we enjoy the sparkling skyline of Seattle and a short bus drive to our hotel.
Friday - Sept. 26
